The focus areas for the application of Digital Material Passports are:

1. Advanced analytics on actual material data to improve manufacturing.

2. Carbon accounting based on supplier-specific primary Scope 3 emission data.

3. Integration of the DMP into Digital Product Passports to promote sustainable use of materials throughout their lifecycle.

4. Automated reporting on upcoming regulations for circular economy and carbon transparency.
